Virgin London Marathon 2012

Another fabulous marathon came to an end yesterday with the rain holding out until 4pm! The physiotherapists were out in force helping those with cramps, sore knees, ankles, back pain and lots of other injuries. After last year we were keen to have more physiotherapists helping at our particular post and my wish came true. Injury Prevention with Running

5k, 10k, half marathon, marathons and beyond!

The marathon is one week away and this year I am providing my services again as a physiotherapist at mile 20.5. In one of my previous blogs I wrote about my experience from last year and how wonderful yet challenging it was – and I wasn’t even running! The London Marathon

Last year I participated in one of the hardest working days of my life - physio'ing for the London Marathon! After a de-brief myself and a colleague walked from the tube station on the Isle of Dogs to Mile Post 17. The weather forecast for that day was hot so we were pleased to be placed with a large selection of St John's ambulance crew members.
