Exercise of the Month - September

The Paralympics are here! And yet again we are motivated and inspired by the amazing sporting achievements these athletes can perform.

With that in mind lets crack on with our next 'Exercise of the Month'. This month is STEP!
This is a great cardiovasular exercise and also good for leg strength and balance. The really nice thing about this particular exercise is you can see how much you are improving in fitness.

The Olympics are inspiring a lot of people to get in shape, once of course we can get off the sofa from watching all the action! Therefore for the next few months we will be offering an 'Exercise of the Month'. This month: skipping!

Skipping is a fantastic cardiovascular exercise, also good for bone health, core stability, calf and ankle strength, balance and good running preparation.

My Day on a Plate...

I have been keen to write an article on honest food diaries and have become very interested in the Daily Telegraphs regular articles called 'A Day on a Plate...' where they get celebrities to pick a day and then write what they have had. Most of them are health packed and makes me wonder if they have chosen their most virtuous day of food that week/month??

However I really feel that writing down exactly what we have eaten and what exercise we do helps us to understand our own body much better...
