    Note I received a free copy of this book from the author as part of a Goodreads Giveaway Actual rating 2.5 stars As I m writing this, The Pastor s Kid is yet to receive a single rating or review on Goodreads, so it s daunting to know that mine will be the only review that people see I wish I could say I loved it but I have very mixed feelings The Pastor s Kid is predominantly character driven, alternating between the perspectives of our two MCs, Mattie and Jay Unfortunately, I didn t really feel much of a connection to either of them Initially, I found Mattie to be very one dimensional her label as a Pastor s Kid seemed to be all that defined her Then she meets Jay and BAM InstaLove Thankfully, Jay had a bit depth to him, although I felt his story could have been explored However, in the end, both Mattie and Jay grow as characters the strength of Mattie s beliefs challenges Jay, just as he challenges her to be confident in herself There were some great messages in this book which...
