    This the first of the so called Banana Trilogy by the 1967 Nobel prize winner for Literature Even as I read this book I thought I would read it again for two reasons The novel is less driven by plot although there is certainly that andby vivid, poetic, and mind bending descriptions of the landscape Banana Plantations in Guatemala , and of the people These descriptions forced me to think about Asturias mind as well as to read the novel at a very slow pace But I thought I neede This the first of the so called Banana Trilogy by the 1967 Nobel prize winner for Literature Even as I read this book I thought I would read it again for ...
