This is a beautifully illustrated book shows images with their relevant words in order to get children to understand contrasting words such as night and day fast and slow etc This book could either be used in EYFS or lower key stage 1 to get children use to contrasting words or either would be a good tool to introduce EAL students to a variety of English words in a fun colourful and interesting way

A book of opposites that uses die cut holes to lead into the next two page spread The list of opposites contained in this book is vast and included some pairs that aren't commonly found in other books on this topic ie everythingnothing lightheavy abstractconcrete verticalhorizontal Some of the pairs introduced not only concepts but art terms ie abstractconcrete while some pairs could also be used to discuss art though maybe not at first read ie lightshadow I really like this authorillustrator's work His approach is uniue and thoughtful and adds a lot to the subject area of early learning and basic concepts Recommended for toddlers PreK

Beautiful illustrations Reading it aloud to my daughter I felt like it went on a little too long and she seemed to lose interest before we got to the end
