    I had a very hard time getting through this very short collection of stories and poems There were a couple of stories that had great potential, but they were sabotaged by grandiose language and overblown personification.As a reader I can t match the tone of epic literature with a short story It s like putting pickles on your PB J It s just, off.There was one short story about coal country that I might have enjoyed had it actually been a story and not a commentary riddled with quotes and fract I had a very hard time getting through this very short collection of stories and poems There were a couple of stories that had great potential, but they were sabotaged by grandiose language and overblown personification.As a reader I can t match the tone of epic literature with a short story It s like putting pickles on your PBJ It s just, off.There was one short story about coal country that I might have enjoyed had it actually been a story and not a commentary riddled with quotes and fractured imagery The story ideas in this book are great, they just aren t fleshed out.I wish I could bepositive but I can t All of these writers have potential, but it wasn t realized in this collection
